Yes, I swore my blog and twitter feed would never stoop to conversation about my cat, but for this thought I make an exception.
This summer our cat has lost (I’m guessing) a 1/3 of her
normal weight. Unless she’s
suffering from an undiagnosed illness, here is what my wife and I can make of
it and what I draw from it. Our
cat has spent nearly the entire summer outdoors. Aside from sleeping indoors on most nights and coming in the
house 27 times a day to spend a few seconds getting one bite of food before
meowing to be let back out, she’d been outside.
My takeaway points:
- Be outside as much as you can.
- Run around a lot.
- Chase things for fun.
- Lay down when it’s really hot, but don't come inside.
- Come in at night to get good rest.
- Snack through the day but don’t eat big meals.
- Run around some more.
See you outside.
My cat needs this advice. He currently weighs more than my 6-year-old daughter...
