In 1917 a hymn was written. It's called "The Love of God." Here is verse 3:
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
So...on this Wednesday afternoon, when I look at an bountiful harvest of work we've been given the opportunity to do, the exciting way God has built our team, the beautiful relationships he's built with clients, co-workers and friends, the peace he's provided allowing us to say "no" to some opportunities that don't feel like the right fit, the already real promise of more to come in the coming year and the blessings of my family...yes, I say, the love of God is great and evident and for this I am thankful.
